Heroes: Classes, Stats, Skills & Progression

Heroes are your actors in the world of Axoma — they fight, quest, fish, patrol and clear dungeons. Heroes are NFTs on Sui; the limited mint has concluded, so new players pick one up on the in-game Marketplace or TradePort. Only staked Heroes can play — everything a Hero earns (levels, items) stays with your account. The Heroes documentation covers every system in depth.

Classes and stats

There are five classes, each rolled with a 20% chance at awakening: Knight (main stat Vitality), Mage (Intelligence), Rogue (Strength), Archer (Dexterity) and Druid (Intelligence). Six stats drive combat: Vitality (Hit Points), Strength (Physical Damage), Intelligence (Magical Damage), Agility (Evasion), Dexterity (Crit Damage) and Luck (Crit Chance) — the formulas are in Stats. Each level up adds +2 to the class's main stat, +1 to each secondary stat and 3 freely distributable points.

Leveling and Stamina

Experience comes from successful adventures; when the bar fills, complete the level up at a City or the Temple of Axomamma (higher levels also require materials such as Lesser Essence of Axoma). Heroes start at Level 1 and cap at Level 20. Stamina fuels all activity: the pool starts at 12 points and grows by 2 per level, fights cost up to 3 Stamina, and the pool refills over 24 hours — but not while the Hero is on patrol or locked into an assignment. See Progression.

Skills and equipment

Without Skills a Hero only performs Basic Attacks. Heroes learn Skills permanently by consuming Skill Scrolls, then select which learned Skills are active. Active skills charge via triggers — Charge, Pain, Time or Counter — and fire automatically; passive skills grant constant effects. Slots unlock as the Hero levels (up to 6 slots, capped by the Hero's rarity tier). Equipment fills a Main Hand, Offhand, Head, Body and up to three Talisman slots, plus Pet and Mount slots; most gear is "Bind on Equip" and can carry sockets for stat Gemstones. Details: Skills and Equipment.

Patrol, Pledging and Ascension

Patrol is passive play: a patrolling Hero generates 0.1 × its level in Influence per day and constantly scouts for Discoveries and rare finds — with a 30-minute window to claim a Discovery once found. Heroes without their own representing Land can be pledged to another player's Land for a Tribal buff. And through Ascension Quests, Heroes climb the rarity ladder from Common all the way to Mythic — one tier at a time, powered by Ascension Tablets restored from Fragments.

What happens if my Hero loses a fight?

Losing a fight can inflict 1-3 Injury stacks depending on the level difference to the enemy — the bigger the gap, the more stacks. Each stack reduces Maximum HP by 10% (capped at 9 stacks), and injured Heroes can still fight. Stacks self-recover 48 hours after the last one was received; heal sooner with Health Potions (Lesser, regular and Greater remove 1, 2 and 3 stacks, used straight from your Backpack) or at the Healing Well, which offers one free 3-stack heal per day and a paid single-stack heal. What is Patrol and what do I get out of it?

Patrol is passive play: any staked Hero can be sent roaming and generates 0.1 times its level in Influence per day, while constantly scouting for Discoveries and rare finds like Ultra Rare Resources. Read more in the docs →

Can I get my Hero NFT back to my wallet?

Yes — unstaking starts a 3-day cooldown during which the Hero cannot fight; afterwards the NFT can be withdrawn. Levels and items the Hero earned stay with your account, but Skills learned from Skill Scrolls are lost when the withdrawal completes. Read more in the docs →
